Unlock Portal

I won brand new Galaxy S7 through a work promotion.  I have attempted to access the AT&T unlock portal  - https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/request/#/unlockstep1.   After entering the IMEI - I have been receiving the following message for days:  "We're sorry, but we're having technical difficulties with our network at the moment. Please try again later."

 

 

Is there another option to unlock an AT&T phone?

Welcome to our Community Forums! I’ll be happy to help you on this unlock issue. Currently the unlock website is our only unlock portal which we utilize to unlock devices from our network.

 

Our device unlock site was undergoing updates recently, we have been asking customers to please clear cache and cookies on their browsers.

 

Another workaround you can try is to use a different browser altogether. For example, if you are using Internet Explorer, try Mozilla FireFox.

Really??  

 

I enter the IMEI and then try to switch fields to enter the phone model.  I have received this same error for over a week:

 

"We're sorry, but we're having technical difficulties with our network at the moment. Please try again later."

@madzac99  I am assuming the phone is branded with the ATT Death Star?  

But the phone was never used on ATT, so the IMEI keeps kicking up this error.  

Send a message to support here >> @ATTMobilityCare  with the information and error you keep getting.  Ask them to process the unlock for you.

 

FYI, as a non ATT customer the phone will not get OTA updates.  Since it will be due several as soon as it's out of the box, you might want to have Samsung Experience desk at Best Buy flash the updates for you.  Otherwise you will never get updates to the OS.

Pity they didn't get you the unlocked version.
