I'm not sure I understand the question.
AT&T can only unlock phones that are locked to AT&T. So if your phone is locked and still under installments or contract with another carrier there's nothing AT&T can do to help you. As for becoming an expert it's something that comes with time and experience. And even the pay professionals still make mistakes as do Ace forum members. Aces are not paid. Our participation in the Forum is voluntary and on our own time. ( unfortunately thanks to covid-19 I have an abundance of time)
