TROUBLE KEEPING 5G OFF

I've been having A LOT OF Trouble keeping the 5G OFF On My Samsung s9. 3even at home, where there Should Be NO Problem, the 5G Turns On. Then, I get the message from at&t saying, 'you've used 75% of your MB, if you go over, we'll add another 1 MB for $15.00-. My problem with this is, with our monthly MB, plus rollover, THIS MAKES NO SENSE, And I believe at&t is doing this PURPOSEFULLY. Does Anyone have any helpful suggestions? Thank You In Advance.

Your phone does not have 5G. What you are seeing is 5Ge. 5Ge is not 5G, it is enhanced LTE. The only way to turn it off would be to turn off LTE. ATT is not doing anything purposely. They don’t make your phone use data, you control that. If you still have a plan with data overages, you are on an old plan. ATT did away with data overages years ago. You should at least price out current plans, you might be paying too much.

Thanks for the reply. No, we're Not on an old plan, which is why I said it MADE NO SENSE. INFACT, AT&T ADDED MORE DATA TO OUR PLAN WHEN THEY ALSO WENT UP ON COST. As much data as we have, THAT'S WHY I SAID THAT IT MADE NO SENSE. Anyway, I KNOW THAT WE CONTROL OUR DATA USAGE, I'M TALKING ABOUT HOW IT SWITCHES AUTOMATICALLY ON MY PHONE, EVEN AT HOME, WHERE WE USE WIFI, ALSO AT&T, BUT UNLIMITED!
I Only Reached Out To This Community, because I Was Hoping For Some Kind Of Help, NOT CRITICISM. Truth be told, I'm NOT A Tech Person. I use the phone to TALK, READ EMAIL AND THE STORIES ON GOOGLE. THAT'S IT. So when things like this happen, and I get a message of almost over my data limit, IT BOTHERS ME, AND I THOUGHT SOMEONE WOULD BE KIND ENOUGH TO EXPLAIN THINGS NICELY, BECAUSE, YOU KNOW, BEING A NICE PERSON ISN'T HARD, BUT IT IS HARD TO COME BY NICE PEOPLE THESE DAYS. For Me, Growing Up, In My Time, Not So, So Long Ago, But Long Ago Enough, People Were Naturally Nice. Thanks Again.

Don’t know why you took my response as criticism. It certainly wasn’t intended that way. You said nothing in your first post that gave me any idea you were looking for an explanation of anything. I would have been happy to but since you’ve decided to yell at me, I won’t bother. I’ll just leave you be. Seriously, do you think typing in all caps comes off as nice?

Really? So, my asking for help at the end of my Explanation wasn't a clue that I Was Asking For Help?
Also, I Only typed in All Caps To Maybe Get Your Attention..Seems to have worked. Anyway, No Worries. I'll Find Help, Either On My Own, Or By Someone Nicer. And Yes, I Am Actually A Nice Person, And The Fact That You've Chosen Not To Help Me, And In The Manner That You Said It, Like; 'I Could Help You But I Won't', Actually Sounds A Little Childish, Don't You Think? I mean, I Told You That I Grew Up In A Different Time, And This Tech Stuff Is A Constantly Evolving Thing That I'm learning About As I Go. But, You Know, It's Not A Problem. Again, Thanks.

First you yell at me and now you call me childish. Yeah, you are a real nice person. As for ”Grew Up In A Different Time”, I bet I’m at least as old and likely older than you.
