Text Sending and Receiving Issues on Galaxy S7

Hello, I recently was made aware that my phone has been having many texting problems. I receive doubled text messages, my sent messages to group chats will not send through for hours at times, and sometimes it is sent immediately. I don't know the exact nature of it, but sometimes I will not receive messages at all, or they will not be sent. These issues seem to randomly come and go. I've seen many other people with an S7 having issues similar to this. I'm considering switching to a new phone if there is no answer. I know there's no blocks on other numbers from my phone, or my number blocked on other's. Thanks for any help

Hi @DBrennan22

Thank you for reaching out to us today. We'll be delighted to assist you.

Where are you located? Are you currently experiencing service issues today (April 8th)? When did you start experiencing issues with sending text messages? Are calls and data usage also affected? Have you tried any troubleshooting? With more details, we'll be able to proceed.

@ATTHelp I'm in Boston MA. The tricky part is I'm not fully aware of when the issue is presenting, as it isn't every time. For example last week I was in a group chat, some of my messages would would immediately go through, then messages minutes later wouldn't arrive for hours. I have had some text issues for at least the past 3 months, but it has seemed to get worse lately. I don't believe calls and data are effected. I've cleared my system cache and rebooted. The troubleshooting link you included leads to a 404 page.

Sorry about that! Here is the link again.

In the meantime, you can also check your memory, just to rule that out as an issue. Open “Applications” and Settings, then select SD Card & phone storage to display available SD and internal storage space. If it's almost full, consider deleting apps you don't use often or transferring photos/other files to a cloud service.
