Still waiting for Pie update for S8 on AT&T
My partner's phone is stuck on Oreo RF5(ATT) with the July 1, 2018 security patch. From what I can tell, the Android 9.0 Pie update was pushed over a month ago. We tried manually checking for the update, factory resetting the phone, and using Smart Switch, but have had no luck. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Why has she not gotten an update since July 1, 2018?

Update: I gave up on AT&T and Samsung for help on this one. The AT&T representative that I spoke with suggested I check to make sure my phone was 100/100 for Optimization. Clearly that's not the problem here. I eventually just downloaded the latest firmware for Sprint (G950USQU5DSD3) from SamMobile. Based on my reading, most of the new firmwares include CSC for all US carriers. This worked for me and the S8 is now running the latest version. Hopefully, we'll be able to get future OTA updates.

Well it's actually a good thing it did. It downloaded the proper CSC and you get wifi calling that way.

Ah, I see. I was pretty certain that SD3 update had all CSCs based on what I had read. All looks good now. Does this mean that we should expect to have proper OTA updates from here on? Any idea why she quit getting them to begin with?

I ended downloading the latest firmware from Updato.com and installing via Odin. That fixed all of the problems for me.
