Sporadic message notifications

I don't always get notifications when I receive text messages or voicemails. My notifications are turned on and I do receive notifications for some, but last week, for example, there were approx. 6-8 messages I didn't receive notifications for. No sound or vibration, no pop-up notification, nothing on home screen, nothing sent to my paired bluetooth watch, no notification number on the corner of the app icons. I don't know I've gotten anything until I open the app and see several messages that came in that I didn't know about. It's not always the same people that I'm missing the notifications from either. What's the fix?

  • How is your signal strength?
  • Does this experience occur in one or various locations?
  • Are there any other issues with

If you haven't already, try resolving your experience by powering your device completely off then on again. This action usually helps correct minor issues in order for your device to function effectively. 1. My signal strength is pretty strong - usually at 4 bars. 2. I know a lot of the missed texts are at times when I'm at home with a 4 bar signal strength (sometimes as low as 3). Because I'm not receiving the notifications, I'm not always sure of my location at the time of text arrival,

3. No other known issues with my phone

I have tried powering the phone off. I haven't found the Device Support tool helpful for this specific troubleshooting.
