SM-G900A (Samsung Galaxy S5 on AT&T)
As you can see in the attatched image, Android OS and Android System are killing my battery, as it has been doing since April... The fox for this? Kitkat 4.4.4! Myself, and other AT&T S5 owners are running the 4.4.2 with the good ole' battery drain bug! While Verizon and Sprint, and some other carriers are pointing their fingers at us AT&T customers laughing at us because they all have Kitkat 4.4.4! When, or the better question, will AT&T EVER send out 4.4.4 for the S5? It's SO frustrating having to carry a wall and car charger everywhere worrying that you battery will die, like I have been doing for six months. When will AT&T release it? For S5 users on AT&T, please screenshot your battery statistics and post them on here to get this issue fixed!

Hi @austin_spiller1998,
Thanks for reaching out. We apologize for the negative experience. We are happy to help. Battery drain is caused by a number of features. We noticed that based on your screenshot that you only have 2 bars. Low signal strength is one major factor in battery drain. If possible monitor your device when you are in area with better signal strength. Some other things you can try include turning down screen brightness and turning off WiFI when not in use. Let us know if any of these help! ^Jake

Waiting for at&t for an update version of the software might take some time. Try and reach out to Samsung and see if they have any solution for it. Before you do that, try technical support team over the phone and see if they can offer you any solution.

I've contacted Samsung, and even Google on this issue. Both companies tell me to call AT&T about the problem. I have done everything possible to help the battert issue. Disabled a ton of apps and all that good stuff... I don't want to turn my S5 into a dumb phone. I bought a smartphone for a reason and AT&T won't update it which is very frustrating because my battery is just awful. The S5 is supposed to have one of the best battery lives of smartphones, that is true... if you have a carrier that has sent out 4.4.4, unlike AT&T.

My battery would go 3 days on 4.4.2. (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Location, Motion all on) I updated to 4.4.4 2 days ago and it's dead when I get home from work!!! I may whipe it and see if that fixes it.
