Sim not provisioned

Have new samsung. Transferring all data but now error says the sim card is not provisioned

When it comes to SIM card provisioning, generally it means the SIM card isn't activated. To do just that, follow these instructions:

  1. Insert it into your phone or device and restart it.
  2. Place a test call or browse the web without using Wi-Fi. Choose one of the following if your call: (1) Went through or you can surf the web, you’re good to go. (2) Didn’t go through or you can’t surf the web, you have to activate your device.

Make sure there’s a SIM card in your device before you try to sign it up on our network. It’s best to use the SIM card that came with your new device or order a new one.

  1. Go to activate your device.
  2. Select the option for AT&T wireless or AT&T PREPAID.
  3. Enter the requested info and select Continue.
  4. Follow the prompts to finish.

If you have AT&T PREPAID and don’t want to activate online, call us at 800.901.9878.
