"SIM Card Removed"

On my Galaxy S4 I've been having this reoccuring issue where my phone will force me to restart it due to the SIM card "being removed" when I haven't touched it. I've tried all the online solutions and none have worked. Anyone have a solution to this?

Hello! @andrewmartinj Thanks for posting your concerns.

I’m sorry to hear you’re getting the SIM removed message. There could be several things causing this. The SIM card itself, the hardware of the phone or software issue. We would recommend you start by replacing the SIM first. Any AT&T company store will do this for you free of charge. You can locate your nearest store at www.att.com Click on the Store Locations & Appointments on the upper right and enter you zip code for the nearest location.

Thanks!

I too, have this problem and a new sim card hasne't helped!  I have now also added a "piece of paper" as a shim above the sim card holder. (per ATT rep advice).  Still getting, "Sim Card Removed" warnings.   I hate this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
