Samsung Tab A Android 9 Update

I have an AT&T-branded Samsung Tab A (SM-T387AA) that I'd like to upgrade from Android 8.1 to Android 9. According to everything I've read, it should be available. However, when I go to Software update, I always get the message "Current software is up to date".

Is there a way I can force it to find the new firmware?

Well, according to this...

AT&T released Pie (Android 9) to that tablet on or after last August 20th.  You might have to call customer service to see it they can force  it through.

Right...I'd seen that info which was why I hoped it would just show up when I searched for updates.

I even went through the wizard mentioned in the Troubleshooting section ("Troubleshoot & Resolve to fix software update issues") a couple of times. I called the number listed at the end of that wizard (800.331.0500) but that connects me to "AT&T Prepaid Support" and wouldn't let me continue b/c I didn't have a pre-paid phone number. I haven't been able to find another support number on the site to try other than that one. The "Contact Us" link doesn't help much either.
