Samsung S20+ eSIM

Does the Samsung Galaxy S20+ support AT&T's eSIM? I have a ATT Prepaid Plan now.

Technology is definitely developing quickly @shaojiama,

Unfortunately the Galaxy S20+ is not compatible with the esim. The only compatible Galaxy device at this time is the Galaxy watch. You can get information on the eSim here.

Hope this helps!

This is false... the S20 is 100% compatible with eSIM. So is the Note 20 line.

All Samsung devices with eSIM capabilities follow the same industry standards that Apple and other OEMs use.

AT&T chose to disable the feature on all AT&T branded phones (except iPhones because Apple doesn't let carriers decide feature sets).

Bring an unlocked phone that has the eSIM feature enabled and it will register on AT&T's network without any issues. All you need is an active eSIM QR code card from AT&T.

The CSC sales code for ATT model Samsung devices have the feature disabled at AT&T's request.

The only way to enable it is via a software update or having (Edited per community guidelines) level access to your phone to modify the CSC carrier settings.

Its not false.  Here at ATT they choose to gimp the phone so yeah its really true.  Also the android central story is from April which at that time Samsung had not enabled it on any of the US bound phones.  Bringing up a months old post is a waste of time.
