Samsung Galaxy S8 Disabled After Putting in New SIM Cards

Got Galaxy S8+ unlocked from ATT (phone is paid for) so I could switch to TMobile. Put TMobile SIM card in. Entered Unlock Code. Said it was incorrect. Tired several times. Now phone won't call or text at all. Even tried to put the ATT SIM card back in.

I have an $800 phone that doesn't call or text. Chat is "busy". Facebook chat is unresponsive. Website says to CALL, which I can't do.

Is it possible the phone is permanently locked due to too many attempts?

Thanks.

Hello @lturshman,

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look into your concerns.

We'll need some more details in order for us to better assist you:

  • Did you get your unlock code from an unlock request approval email that we sent you after you submitted an unlock request?
  • Do currently have active wireless service with AT&T, or T-Mobile?
  • Also, how many times did you incorrectly enter the unlock code?

Please let us know and keep in mind that five unsuccessful unlock attempts will permanently lock your device to the AT&T network.

We look forward to hearing back from you.
