Samsung Galaxy J2 Dash

I just got the phone and activated it yesterday 3/27/20, turned it on and off Still can't send or receive messages. Called tech support waited 1 1/2 hrs on hold got someone named Myra who literally kept putting me on hold called my personal cell only for her to hang up on me and send a tx saying disconnected call customer service back. Anyhow, still not receiving messages or sending what can we do now. Oh and how do you know what the message center number should be so I make sure that's correct as well
