Samsung G S6 sm g920f touch screen

I just had an update to my Galaxy S6 and since then the touch screen is very unresponsive.   Can't type with any keyboard.

I dumped the cache on keyboard with no result.

Next stop is a FDR unless someone has a better idea...

Thank you for reaching out to us. We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing this. We're happy to help.  Has your device experienced any physical or liquid damage? Is this happening with only the stock keyboard? Could you also try clearing the data on the keyboard to see if that helps? We can also try a Soft Reset by holding Power and Volume Down for 7-10 seconds to re-optimize your device. We can also try running your device in Safe Mode for 2-3 hours: First, power off the device. Press and hold Power for 1-2 seconds to turn on te device. When the Samsung logo displays, press and hold the Volume down key until the lock screen appears. Safe Mode should be in the lower-left corner of the screen. This will only run stock apps on your device.  Note, that some of your customization options may change after exiting. Let us know if this helps.

I appreciate the input, I tried all that with no result.  At least I know I was on the right track since your solutions are the ones I tried.

 

I factory reset without success.  Then 2 days later an update or patch and the phone works fine again.

Go figure?
