Samsung Black screen

I have the so called "Black Screen of Death." My phone is receiving notifications and I can answer calls but that's it. Nothing else. I've googled it and watched videos to find a way to fix it but I have absolutely nothing. I was using it this morning, then around noon, I tried to turn it on and all I got was a small red dot at the top of the screen. It's been an hour and a half and now I don't even have that! I still receive notifications and calls but the screen is black. If you know a way to fix this,it would be appreciated!
