S8+ won't stay on my wifi

Just got a spiffy new modem/router every device in the neighborhood can probably connect to it.... But mine, 3 feet from it won't stay connected to it!

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulties you’re having keeping your new S8 plus connected to your home Wi-Fi.  I’d like to get a little more information on what troubleshooting you’ve done on this, as well as offer a few options to troubleshoot further.


Here are just a few quick things for us to check on.

1.    Software version is up to date

2.    Date and Time settings are correct

3.    We are working with  freshly reset network settings

  1.    Open the Settings app

  2.    Tap Backup and reset.

  3.    Tap Reset network settings.

  4.    Tap RESET SETTINGS. Note: If prompted, enter your PIN, Password, or Pattern. Then once more          to confirm.


These are all things I would do in this situation, and I strongly urge you to do these if you have not yet.  Please let me know what troubleshooting you’ve already done as soon possible.  Afterwards we’ll be able to continue further towards a resolution
