S22Ultra Not Connecting to Cellular/Data, No Signal? - Fix Given

I'm leaving this here and on my Reddit account in hopes that it helps someone. It's a shame Samsung and at&t don't have a better way to help us since l'm sure they know it's impacting many customers. I had been having connection issues with my S22Ultra for the last couple of months. I'd get no data and most of the time wouldn't even get bars just a 🚫. Like many of you I was already out of my 12 month warranty period by a few months. My phone literally only worked when on wifi. I wasted hours upon hours talking to At&t, Samsung, looking through reddit forums and at&t community forums... Also, went through the trouble of switching out the sim card with at&t's help and activating the esim. Neither of which solved my problem. I knew it wasn't a sim issue because my old S10 worked just fine with the same sim. Literally went 4 weeks or so using my S10 as a hotspot so I could use my S22Ultra (I like the bigger screen and better camera so I carried 2 phones with me).

Solution - replaced the antenna!! Found a local shop here in Anaheim CA to replace it for $40, took him about 40 minutes. l'l add a picture of the old part to this post. Phone works great again!

You haven't provided much information. The only relevant information is you have an s22 ultra.

For whatever reason that phone in particular is defective.  I see another post like yours every week from an s22 ultra owner saying they are disconnected from the network. Absolutely no reason for it other than a faulty phone.

If you can move your SIM card to a different device and test it to see whether it's a SIM card problem.

If a sim works in another device, it's definitely a phone problem. Samsung should be held responsible

My sim is currently on a different device and is working. I've had the s22 ultra for about 18 months. Hoping ATT can help with this. It's  a way too expensive phone to become defective after just 18 months.

This is a Samsung product. If you've had an 18 months you were out of warranty.  AT&T cannot help you.

If you do a Google search you will notice that this problem has happened to many s22 Ultras.

Complain to Samsung.

If AT&T knows that this is a common issue among it's subscribers, then to continue selling the phone and not intercede in behalf of there customer does not give a very assuring feeling for the market. They can't just pass the blaim.

I am not AT&T. I'm an individual and this is a community forum populated by other customers.

Just because I know this is a problem because I've seen similar complaints, does not mean that AT&T knows it's a problem. They don't keep records looking for patterns of phone failure. But the manufacturer should.

We understand the importance of having a working device, and we will give you some options.

If the phone is defective and out of warranty, you may have two options:

If you've enrolled for an insurance, you could use that to explore more options. Here is some basic information about how the insurance works generally.

  • There is no waiting period before an enrolled customer can file a claim for connected devices (phones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops).
  • 60 days is the time period from the incident date to file a claim.
  • To file a claim visit http://sm.att.com/25079f45, or call Asurion Customer Care at 888.562.8662:
  • Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Saturday - Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Deductibles and service fees

  • A non-refundable deductible/service fee is charged for each approved claim.
  • Amounts are based on the device tier and are in the brochure and online.
  • View the most up to date full list of eligible devices by deductible at http://sm.att.com/25079f45.
All eligible screen and out-of-warranty malfunction repairs have a service fee of $29 each time.

The other try troubleshooting the device via our troubleshoot & resolve tool to see if that helps resolve the issue.

Guess what! It wasn't the phone after all! Unlike what a certain non-AT&T employee was so certain about, blaiming samsung 100% 🙃. Turns out that AT&T decided to do something that cut my network service without bothering to inform me, that caused me to waste a whole day trying to find a fix. Well, let's hope that this becomes a learning experience for all involved.

THANK YOU AT&T FOR THE LEARNING OPPORTUNITY!

What was your issue? I am having the same issue and have been go two stores and on calls with tech support for hours. I did 2 Sim swaps and activated the esim to no avail. It literally happened randomly so I'm not sure. Why.
