S21 Ultra 512GB Variant (Back ordered)

When I first ordered this phone, it's estimated ship date was September. I cancelled the order.

I checked back on AT&T's website and found that on the 7th of April, the estimated ship date was April 21st - 28th.
I re-ordered.  That date has obviously come and gone, and as of last night, the estimated ship date was chanted to May 21st - 28th.

Will this just keep happening? Is there any end is sight, or will I just keep getting strung along?

I refused to buy the 256gb variant without an SD card option, so this is the only path for me.

A co-worker of mine walked into V and purchased the phone on the spot, same day, no waiting, no online order, no back order, nothing. Just went in and got it same day.  If V has them in stock, why not AT&T?

Makes me want to leave this crappy blue globe all togeather.

Hi @Zachology101,

We appreciate you reaching out to the community. We are really sorry about your experience and would like to provide more information.

When the estimated shipping/delivery date of your order changes, it usually implies that there is a high demand and the stock may have emptied out faster than expected.

We really apologize for the delay and expect to be able to ship and deliver your highly anticipated Galaxy S21 Ultra 512GB as soon as possible.

Also, make sure you are taking advantage of our great deals on Galaxy Phones if it works for you and you have any device of value to trade-in (see terms).

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

I understand supply and demand.....just think it's a bit excessive to have to wait this long for a phone that should be in stores, like Version has them...it's only AT&T with the supply problem.

I ordered April 13th:

Expected shipment date (subject to availability):
Between 4/27/2021 and 5/4/2021

I got an email yesterday:

There's no easy way to say this, but we had to change your ship date - and we're working hard to make your item(s) available as soon as possible.

When will my item(s) ship?

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G - 512GB - Phantom Black

New estimated shipping dates*: 05/27/2021 to 06/03/2021

(Edited per community guidelines)!!

Maybe I should just stay with VERIZON!!!

Good afternoon @goodfella30, thanks for reaching out to us.

We can certainly understand your frustration experiencing delays in shipping, and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. We are currently experiencing a high demand and delay in shipping for this product at this time.

If you do not wish to wait for your device, you may cancel your order and receive a refund within 3-5 business days. Once you have cancelled your order and received the funds back onto your card, you may visit or call your local AT&T store to see if they have the device available on site. Please be advised that online and in store promotions may differ and cancelling your order can be subject to voiding a promotion that was offered by the original point of sale. (Example: purchased online, in store or over the phone.) If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

It seems to me that you should rethink the way you are selling the High capacity (512GB + Storage) Phones.

Maybe have the initial pre-order (Where there are no excuses for supply/demand).

Have an extra order 6 months in (call it whatever you like). This will give you another great idea of how many phones need to be produced to align with the demand....

Then at some point stop doing the "orders" and then there isnt as much complaining about the long waits for the phone...as the customer just missed out on the extra order opportunities..

The other option is to just produce more of the 512GB phones!!

They are going to sell....??

Without knowing the Demand from the public you will ALWAYS have this problem!!

@goodfella30

I would say you need to tell Samsung that not ATT.  512gb models have always been in short supply.  Samsung is selling NO s21 512gb carrier variant on it's own website.

@GLIMMERMAN76 That is a great point! I looked on VZN website and they also are showing that the 512GB is out of stock. It would appear I'm complaining to the wrong company...
