Please unlock Samsung "Call & text on other devices"

Hi, I just switched to at&t and I have a Samsung phone and a Samsung tablet. On my previous carrier (and indeed all other carriers) I was able to use Samsung's feature called "Call & text on other devices," which allows me to send and make calls on my tablet via my Samsung account. However, I just found out that apparently at&t has blocked this feature. Please unlock this. I am aware of at&ts messaging app that allows me to text from other devices but it is not nearly as good. Like not even close. And my tablet is not lte because only Verizon is selling an lte variant of this tablet (Samsung Galaxy tab s6). Please tell me there is something y'all can do to help me.

Oh I believe they have a reason but that doesn't mean it's a good one. My
guess is that it's to try and get people to sign up for number sync and pay
for that. Which is lame enough but even worse is that number sync won't
even work on my tablet because it's not supported.

Of course there's a reason! At&t wants us to buy the LTE version so we have to purchase another line. It's GREED & makes me want to look into a different carrier.

This is a Samsung feature that only Sprint and T-Mobile are using. Neither AT&T or Verizon have it enabled. I assume that AT&T and Verizon would rather not support yet another outside service, but would rather people use the existing number sync or number share functions that they already provide.
@DaisyMaeTX   All US carriers are in the process of shutting down 3G service. Once 3G service is shut down for good only LTE devices will have function. I assume your comment is related to having a WiFi only device.  So your comment that AT&T wants you to buy the LTE device is kind of a “duh”.  That’s how carriers make money.
Now I just so happens that AT&T messages stinks.   Number sync is worse for android.

My experience with those services left me pretty cold, especially after switching to Verizon and using their messages+.  Messages plus works across platform, and on Wi-Fi only devices just fine.    Are use an android (not a Samsung) phone and an iPad, and can get calls and text on both devices perfectly.

AT&T messages and number sync did not work well.  Number sync is a horrid program and should be replaced with something that works consistently

You might think it's acceptable or "duh" that (only certain) carriers disable options for their customers, but I don't. Carriers typically have the entire family's business and oftentimes bundles of internet and cable. Apparently that's not enough. However, we live in a wonderful, free country and have the option of switching carriers; at least those who are not locked into contracts.

@DaisyMaeTX   AT&T is looking for sheep to buy into the eco system.

Please allow this app to function on my Note 10+. Being stuck at home this would greatly benefit me. If there was a time to reconsider this service being blocked it is now. Please let us use it AT&T.

Anyone know where we can call or email to complain about this feature? Maybe a Email address of someone higher up rather than a CSR?

AT&T has no email for customer contact. Neither AT&T nor Verizon are going to enable this service, they don't care, and they don't have to.
Samsung info on the feature says it's not available on AT&T or Verizon. Customers should plan accordingly.
Message+ on Verizon does work, even on non carrier branded devices.

Purely out of curiosity, is this feature disabled through firmware on the particular devices sold through the carrier channel? Or are carriers somehow blocking this functionality on their backend? that is, for their customers that purchase factory unlocked carrier neutral devices outright through non-carrier distribution channels?

firmware on att branded phones. If you buy a U1 unlock S10 for instance you lose wifi calling. It's a catch 22 that apple does not have to deal with.
