Phone won't make or receive calls
Hi, so phone won't make or receive calls but is fine with texts and internet and the rest of everything.
The bills paid
Not in airplane mode
Tried restarting
Tried airplane mode then deactivating
Removed Apps that could be fishy
Cleared my internet info
And finally just went and factory reset my phone.
And still will not make calls.
I've tried businesses and friends but just get the "can't connect" with beep beep beep beep.
My husband and kid s both have functioning phones. However my mother in law is having the same issue on her iPhone through atnt and I have a Samsung... so... what's going on? Just started yesterday.

Sydne,
I did all you mentioned and all others on the responses thus far mentioned. I ran through the AT&T trouble shooter also. Nothing is working. Additionally, when I initially noticed the issue my phone showed I was getting 5G. I called and spoke to a rep last night and they started running me through the same trouble shooter I did on AT&T website so I stopped that and then they saw I had a ticket in, so I am disconnected from phone conversations, but am still texting and emailing as able. Funny how little we think about tech till we cannot use it. BTW, the model is a Galaxy Note 10+ 5G.

The sm-a516u is on the whitelist only if bought from AT&T. The unlocked model is sm-a516u1. Yes, that "1" makes a difference.

I've been having this same problem on my unlocked Nokia g20. This worked for me. Go to settings then network settings then apn settings there will be 2 or 3 on mine there is three. Ones NXTGENPHONE the other is ATT phone switch to att phone. It worked for me idk why because every open is the same as the other apn but 🤷🏼♂️. And then if you're having a hard time with dat type *#*#4636#*#* I'm the dialer that'll get you to testing menu from there click network type and since mine isnt 5g compatible I chose LTE/GSM/TWCDMA. GOOD LUCK!

@CD5_LUV good advise for anyone who has that phone. My android doesn't have those settings sadly. I've also been able to narrow it down to the sim card personally but that might help someone else.

So its now been over 48 hours with this issue and no resolution. I cannot even find my trouble ticket under my ATT account. So now what? Gonna go to an ATT store and see what, if anything, they can do. This is just beyond ridiculous at this point. It feels like nobody at ATT is doing anything, beyond lip service, to resolve my issue. Though I highly doubt it, maybe a store face to face will get something done? Fingers crossed!

We understand how frustrating this can be, @blkopns.
Was your device originally purchased from AT&T or a 3rd party seller? If it's a non-branded AT&T device, please check the service capabilities.

@blkopns I'm at an ATnT store right now. They seem to be extremely busy with a bunch of this issue. If go with at least 2 hours to waste waiting and then getting things resolved.
