Phone cannot make or receive calls

I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9+ that I bought already unlocked at Best Buy a few years ago.  I was able to receive a phone call last night, but today I can't make or receive calls. My internet, etc. work and I can send and receive texts but not calls. I called customer service from my work phone and she tried all she knew but nothing fixed it. I restarted multiple times, even tried safe mode, nothing changes.  I got a new sim card. The rep used my phone to make a call and it worked.  I got to the parking lot and tried to make calls but couldn't. I went back in the store and he said there's nothing else he can try. I spoke to another customer there who had an unlocked galaxy S10 doing the same and that he had to get a new phone.

@hyvonen

Wow. This a crazy cluster you know what. Did they check their IMEI on Cricket's IMEI checker? Any phones not on the whitelist will stop working for Cricket too.

The thing about "just switch carriers"... there's no guarantee Verizon or Tmobile will be any better. They just haven't shutdown their 3g yet.

Well, if it's Galaxy S8 or S9, then @RyanMM suggestion to flash the U1 firmware using a specific version of Odin that he recommended, also seemed to work, depending on the MVNO.

@Kuna_matata - I don't know if he checked. He had that phone on cricket until it stopped working.

It might be that Tmobile oe Verizon will have problems too. Maybe, maybe not. But we KNOW that AT&T had problems. For 6 days I was unable to make or receive calls. What if my kid had an emergency?

I had to switch. I didn't feel like I have any other options, except to pay for a new phone, and I refused to do that when I KNEW my phone worked.

I have downloaded the latest Odin software and an ATT version of the Samsung software for the A71 (and A52).  Do I just follow the instructions and flash?  Or is there something I am missing?  Don't want to rush into this too quickly.  Thanks.

Is there any way to trigger S20 5G (SM-G981U) to automatically switch CSC?  I have gotten a new SIM, factory reset, and nothing helps it trigger to AT&T.  Any ideas?
