NOTE8 back camera glass shattered spontaneously

After owning a brand new Note8 for just 8 days, the glass on the back camera shattered. Several other owners reported the same thing on the Samsung community post. Phone was not dropped or impacted in any way. Sounds like a manufacturer defect. I purchased at Costco but no one can do anything until Samsung officially announces that it is a defect. At this time, Samsung is charging for the repair. Hopefully more affected users will report the incidents to Samsung right away. Here is the form to contact Samsung:
