Note S4 quickly overheating, even in safe mode
I have the n910 and it is updated to the latest system update. The device overheats and the system shuts down within 90 seconds, usually less (this includes the time it takes to boot) and even does so in safe mode.
BUT
does not do so when booted into recovery or even download mode. It will run continuously, up to at least 30 minutes.
Is there a known solution to this issue?
PS the battery is brand new, keep in mind I can do very little because I have a matter of seconds when finally booted though have all the time in the world in recovery and download mode

Basically all these phone companies have decided that any device over 6 years old needs to thrown away!!! They force you to purchase a new one, I have a Galaxy S4 as well, just had a conversation with escalation department. No service inside my own home, tried ALL options to re-boot, upgrade and restore. and it overheats as well. Basically, unless your "old" "old" 6 year old phone has WIFI CALLING or other options to upgrade the phone to their new technology... your phone is obsolete...NICE huh???? They don't make the phones with the ability to upgrade to the newer technology anymore. So....I'm going out now to buy the cheapest new phone I can find before it becomes obsolete as well. May as well... within a year or two I will need another phone to upgrade the newer services anyway...Spent 6 months trying to fix my old, old, phone and finally found this out today...Good luck.
