We want to help provide some insight on how to transfer your data over, @firefox_.

The answer to your questions is, yes. If your device isn’t usable, remove the SIM card and insert it into a compatible working device or an SD card reader. Then, transfer the info from the SIM card to a computer.

You should know that you have a few choices when it comes to transferring data between two Android devices:

  • Google Cloud. (This requires your information to be backed up on a Cloud.)
  • Smart Switch. (For Samsung devices only.)
  • AT&T Personal Cloud. (This also requires your information to be backed up on a Cloud.)

Restoring data from Google Cloud

  1. Turn on your new device.
  2. Tap Start.
  3. To set up your device without an old device, follow the prompts.
  4. When prompted, sign in with your Google Account.

Important: If you didn't back up your data beforehand, and are unable to do so due to your screen being damaged, then this may not be the best option for your situatuation.

Using Samsung Smart Switch

  • Transfer wirelessly.
  • Connect with USB cable.
  • Restore from your PC.
  • Restore from an SD card.

Restore AT&T cloud content to your phone:

  1. Open the AT&T Personal Cloud app.
  2. Tap the menu (3 lines), then choose Settings .
  3. Choose Tools, then Content Restore.
  4. Tap the content category to restore.
    • Have an Android phone? You can restore photos, videos, contacts, music, documents, messages, and call logs.
  5. Select Restore.

Important: If you didn't back up your data beforehand, and are unable to do so due to your screen being damaged, then this may not be the best option for your situatuation.
