Not allowed to submit unlock request

When I enter my name and email as shown in My Profile into the unlock code request page, I receive an error message that the information entered is not correct. But that information is exactly as shown in My Profile and is correct. Several years ago, the unlock code provided did not work and I don't want to pay a cell phone store in Toronto to unlock the phone. I have only 2 more chances before the phone is permanently locked.

Anyone know a workaround for this? I'd like to be able to use my prepaid Samsung Express Galaxy 3 J337A when I travel to Ecuador or Hungary. Thanks anyone and everyone who knows the secret to submitting an unlock request with the correct information.

Hello @chdiamo, we are here to help you with your unlock.

As @Constructive suggested, try putting in the request as a non customer.

We also recommend making sure your device meets the Unlock Requirements.

Personal device requirements

Your device:

  • Is an AT&T phone or device and isn’t active on another AT&T account.
  • Was paid in full when you bought it (not on an installment plan). You won’t have to wait 60 days to unlock it.
  • Has a paid-off installment plan.
    • Paid through your monthly bill: Submit your unlock request at the start of your next bill period.
    • Paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request. Learn how pay off your installment plan.
  • Doesn’t have a past-due account balance. Make a payment to bring your account current. It will take 24 hours for your payment to post.
  • Hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.
  • Is an AT&T PREPAIDSM phone that has had paid service for at least six months.

Good to know: Don't have an account with AT&T? You can still unlock an AT&T device as long as it meets all requirements.

Let us know if this helps!
