Just received the update on my Note 5 and it seems to be running without any problems. Also seems a little quicker.

I just got the update.  Was a little laggy at first but then smoothed out.  However, the charging is taking much longer (30 min. left at 80% on Fast Charge).  The phone also restarts itself every ~5 min.  Any suggestions?

Connecting to WIFI leads to message about additional log in required and asks me to open my web browser. I do this, which causes Chrome to open to the Google home page. I'm not asked to do anything, but the device seems to connect. A few minutes later, WIFI drops and the process starts over again.

My update to Marshmallow ran overnight and now my phone will not connect to WI-FI. Is there a resolution to this issue? My internet and social media apps run fine over the 4G signal, but when none of it works on my home WI-FI. I have strong WI-FI signal and have rebooted everything twice, including deleting my home WI-FI from my phone and reconnecting it. Nothing has worked yet. Tech support response would be helpful.

My phone just decided to update and turned off while I was using it. You could at least have included code in the update to start the first time it was plugged in and idle after the device-initiated update was triggered. I'm just glad I wasn't in the middle of nowhere with my GPS abruptly switched off.

I'd like to roll back. I regret the update immediately. The speach center continually stops. It reset itself twice already. Very slow and unresponsive. Media volume control went away, and came back after a reset. I'm looking forward to see what else good wrong... (sarcasticly)

AT&T Video Calling is a pretty great feature that was included with the Marshmallow update on some of the Android devices.

Video Call is built into select Video Call-capable devices and requires an account that has been set up for AT&T HD Voice. Both parties must also be in HD Voice coverage to use Video Call.

Possible reasons you can't make a Video Call even though your phone is Video Call capable:

  • The Video Call setting is turned off on your phone or on the phone you are calling.
  • You or the person you're calling aren't set up for HD Voice service.
  • You or the account holder has blocked AT&T Video Call on your mobile number or that of the mobile number you are calling.
  • Either the Standard Data or Enhanced 4GLTE services settings are turned off on your phone or the phone you're calling.
  • The person you're calling doesn't have a Video Call-capable phone or declined your request to Video Call.
  • Either you or the person you're calling is not in an AT&T HD Voice coverage area.

Current Video Call restrictions

  • At this time Video Call is only available between AT&T customers using Video Call capable devices within AT&T HD Voice coverage areas.
  • Video Call is not available internationally.

To make and receive an AT&T Video Call:

  1. To make a Video Call, from the home screen, tap the Phone icon.
  2. From the Dial pad, enter the desired number, then tap the Video Call icon. The Video Call icon displays in blue if the person has the capability to receive a Video Call and grey if the person does not have the capability to receive a Video Call.
  3. To switch between front and rear cameras tap Switch camera. To stop sharing your image, tap the screen, select Switch call type, then tap Turn my camera off. To share your image, tap the screen, select Switch call type, then tap Show me.
  4. To add people to the Video Call, tap the screen, then tap Add call.
  5. To switch from a Video Call to a voice call, tap the screen and select CALL TYPE, then tap Voice call.
  6. To switch from a voice call to a Video Call, tap CALL TYPE, then tap Video Call. The person you are on the phone with will have the option to accept or reject the change from an HD Voice Call to a Video Call.
  7. To accept an incoming Video Call, touch and drag the Video Call icon to the right. To accept an incoming Video Call as a voice call, tap and drag the Voice Call icon in any direction.
  8. To reject an incoming Video Call, touch and drag the Reject call icon to the left. To reject and respond with a text message, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then tap the desired message.
  9. If you do not want to receive Video Calls, you can turn Video Call off from the phone key pad by tapping MORE > Settings > Video Call.

Video Call is turned on by default. When Video Call is off, incoming Video Calls will appear as voice calls.

Hope this helps and gets you back to enjoying your Note 5 device! Thank you for being a part of the AT&T Family!
