Marshmallow update for the Galaxy S6 edge

Can someone please tell me when AT&T will release Marshmallow for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge? It seems like all other major carriers have already done so. I know AT&T is always the last to release updates, but I just need to have an idea when it might do so.

Thabnk you.

I am extremely disappointed in the way At&t lied to their customers. They clearly do not care about what we want. I should not have to deal with a phone company that lies. I bet At&t dosen't even look at the forms, probably because they are busy "testing the update" (sarcasm). (They are more likely to be sitting on there couches counting all the money they earned) Smiley Mad

DEAR AT&T, I know you don't care about your customers enough to even read these threads. So my rant about how my wife's Galaxy s6 was updated weeks ago and like a dumbbutt I purchased the s6 edge plus so I'm still waiting is pointless. The  AT&T corporate greed machine puppets sit around discussing quarterly profit margins. How about some customer appreciation? Seriously you leave millions of people in the dark! How about a reply that's not pre scripted with detailed update dates? What it appears to the att customers who own s6 edge plus devices is you just don't give a {edited for word filter evasion} about any of us. These are hard working people spending hundreds of dollars on these devices. Show a shred of decency and issue a statement or something as to why the edge plus isn't receiving  the update. I am still paying on this phone with the next plan. I assure you this will be the last locked phone I buy. My friend is running Android N already on his nexus. Updates the way they were meant to be given. If I was samsung I would demand a time frame to force carriers into release. You greedy criminals  should feel ashamed of yourselves! THIS IS A TRAVESTY!

I bought the Galaxy Note Edge for a few reasons, mostly because I wanted to experience the first device with the curved display. I purchased this device mere months before the release of Android M. Samsung was already talking about it being released so they could begin development for their devices. I was really under the impression that this device would be upgradeable, another deciding factor in my purchase of this device.

Since the release of Android M, I have read on many official and unofficial sites that the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge (virtually the same device internally) were on this list, along with the S5 which I bought for my wife. After many MANY "release dates" come and gone without the OTA Android M upgrade from AT&T, I am beginning to lose patience.

I just read this morning that ALL OTHER CARRIERS that have this particular device (Note Edge) have already pushed Android M, yet AT&T is saying that the Note Edge will not be receiving this Upgrade. It baffles me as to how you can be so quick to punish a customer when they do not keep their word by paying you on-time, but you all can not keep your word without any fear of repercussions. Now, after having bought 2 GALAXY NOTE EDGE's and an S5 on the same bill, you are telling me that a device that is not even 2 years old yet will not be upgraded?!?!?!?!? The only way to get this upgrade is to purchase another dang-near $1,000 device???? That is the epitome of ridiculousness!!!!!

Lesson learned - I will NEVER again purchase another device from AT&T EVER! Obsurdly poor business model, backing your customers into a corner and forcing them to have to keep buying new devices the way you all do. I mean, I have 5 Dell laptops in my house that are 5-10 years old and I didn't have any issues installing and running Windows 10. If the other carriers can make the upgrade happen, then it is not the device's lack of capabilities...so, the lack of capability must lie in your hands, AT&T. Just saying...

And since I know that my worthless little words/opinions on this matter will not have any effect on the outcome of the issue at hand, I will end this rant, as I realize it to be a pointless waste of my time...

...absolutely PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Att has not said they are not releasing updates for the note 4 and s5.  The edge is grouped in with the note 4.  The updates will come but no one knows when that is customer facing.

@philips999 Unfortunately, in order to receive updates, the phone must be able to connect to the AT&T network, using an AT&T SIM card.  As you are located outside the United States, that is not possible.
