Issues with Samsung Galaxy S4

I bought my S4 in July of 2014, about a year ago, and ever since I've updated to 5.0.1 I've had nothing but issues. My phone randomly drops service. One minute I will have full service and 4G then the next minute, nothing. Sometimes it will randomly lose data connection. The only way to get it to come back is to close all of my apps and shut off my mobile data then turn it back on (sometimes not even this works and I have to do it over and over again). Other times my phone won't drop service but will fail to send messages or make calls. I've also had issues connecting to wifi (nothing wrong with wifi) and with the phone not being able to read my SD card (I've had this fixed 3 different times). Has anyone else had these issues? Do I need a new phone or is this something that can be fixed?

Hi there! @kdsamsung

Thanks for posting your concerns. I’m sorry to hear you’ve had multiple issues with the phones services and features.

What I would recommend you do to back up your data and factory reset the phone and these issues should clear.

For steps to factory reset your phone, please go to http://www.att.com/devicehowto/ and select the make and model of your phone. Once you have done this, locate Troubleshooting in the left column and select the + symbol then click on Reset Device for full back up and reset instructions.

Hope this helps!
