Issue with new Samsung Call and Text on other devices feature
I'm having an issue with this new Samsung feature (Call & text on other devices).
Here is a link to the feature: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00083152/
I have a Samsung Note 10+ and a Samsung Tab S6. Both were purchased from Samsung directly. The Note 10+ is a AT&T variant and the Tab S6 is wifi only.
When I go to "settings" on the Tab S6 and search, I find the option and am able to enable it, however, when I search for the same option on the Note 10+, it's not found. I have attached screenshots from both devices.
I have already contacted Samsung and they said that the option should on the 10+ unless AT&T it blocking it. I'm guessing that perhaps you are blocking it so you can sell your "numbersync" feature but I hope that it not the case. Customers should be fully allowed to exploit the capabilities of the devices that they purchase.
The reason that I did not purchase an "unlocked" phone from Samsung is because the last time I did, "wifi calling" was disabled by AT&T. I was told that customers lose enhanced LTE features and capabilities with unlocked devices.
Please advise . . .

some customers get the features for free and others do not. Educate
yourself... Please.

You care to explain that one? I think you need to read the terms and conditions page. ATT does not have to allow anything but calling and text to work that is the LAW. ATT and Verizon both have had Samsung remove the feature. If anyone is at fault its Samsung because they do not have the guts to stand up to the carriers like Apple does.

*****, just as soon as I'm ready to update from my Note 10, I'm changing carriers too.
Until then, I have started using Google messages. The tablet app supports RCS and effortlessly syncs on my phone as well. I'm a Google voice subscriber so that works as well to across phone and tablet to. So I have call and text under two app just not Samsung.
[Please keep it courteous]

I think you are the one lacking education. Carriers can chose to support features or not. Like WiFi calling, which is not available for most phones unless they are At&t branded.
In this case, At&t chooses to promote number sync, which is an awful product for android, but that’s their choice. Verizon also blocks this feature in favor of Messages+ which works very well on secondary mobile devices, and even across platforms.

This may not be ideal but Pulse texting app works BEAUTIFULLY with all my Samsungs... Note 10, Tab S6, and Active 2 watch. It's really good!!

AT&T keeps giving me more reasons to leave their network. I had the same experience, only I have a Samsung S10+ and a Samsung Tablet S6 that I wanted to use for calls/texts. I just talked to Samsung support as well, and was notified that the "call & text on other devices" feature was removed from the phone by my carrier (AT&T). They also told me this feature is not available on Verizon carrier phones either. I will be passing this information on in any way possible to make sure the news is spread about this ridiculous behavior on AT&Ts part. Their lack of care for the end-user, and poor customer support is pathetic... I'm done with this ****.

These are the things that really can be annoying. I bought an unlocked Note 10+ and S Tab 5e. Brought them to AT&T. With bringing your own phone you don't HD calling, WIFI calling, and VVM(manual app download). Where I was able to use the feature "Call & Text other devices" on my unlocked Samsung devices previously mentioned. So, they had that sweet deal for a Note 20 Ultra and I wanted to have wifi-calling, HD Voice, and video calls. So, I went for it only to find that the AT&T variant of the phone doesn't support one of my favorite features "Call & Text other devices". It was really nice to have. Now, I am debating returning the phone. Since I know the feature works just fine on their network!!!!!!! I have to admit all of the major carriers do crap like this. Stop messing with the phones features. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WILL WORK ON YOUR NETWORK WITHOUT ISSUE, as I have proven with my unlocked Note 10+. See, you had a phone sell. But since you mucked with the phones features, I am seriously thinking about returning the phone.
