Hi there @aliceblue, we want you to be able to open links through text messages again.

Thank you for letting us know that you've already cleared your messaging app's cache. We have a few more troubleshooting options regarding this, as well.

  • Check your messaging settings by selecting the Settings option in the app, and check to see if anything regarding opening links is disabled.
  • Make sure your messaging app is currently updated. There may be a patch or feature needed to open link again, so make sure your version is the current one.
  • For a similar reason, see if your phone's software is updated as well. This might be happening because of your phone, and not the app itself.

We'd also like to get a better idea of what's going on exactly, along with the scope of the issue. Are you able to copy and paste the link into a browser to open it? If not, then the link itself may be the reason nothing is happening.

Please share the troubleshooting results and information with us here, so we can continue to look into this if needed.

There is no option where links are mentions. Just your usual stuff.

Thanks for keeping us updated, @aliceblue.

Have you tried the other troubleshooting steps, such as making sure the app and device software are updated? You can see steps on how to do that above.

In addition to that, we also recommend force stopping the app by going into your device's Settings > Apps > desired app > Force stop > OK. This completely stops all the app's activity, while just closing an app typically has it run in the background instead.

Please share the results of the troubleshooting with us here, and let us know if you're able to copy and paste that link into a browser to open it as well.
