How to unlock my Samsung Galaxy Note 3???

I requested to unlock my phone online, but it was denied. They said it was because:

You haven't fulfilled your service contract.

What the heck?! I purchased my phone on October 2013 with 2-year contract, and paid in full on February 2014. So my contract was over at that time, and I have been using prepaid plan.

I called the customer service to unlock it, but they said I needed to talk with goPhone customer service. So I called them, and they said I needed to talk with regular customer service which I talked with already. OMG, I was kind of frustrated. I've used at&t over 5 years and never satisfied with customer service.

Does anybody know how to unlock my phone? How can I get the unlock code? I am going to overseas within two weeks, so I really need to get one.

The number which I used when I have a contract and the number which I am using now are different. In this case, do I have to use previous number to unlock?

Please help me. Thanks.

I had the same email from AT&T then called customer service.

They said they will not do anything till the end of the 2-year contract, even though I only have 2 months left till the end of my contract.

Basically they're dictating your travelling plans by not letting you go abroad during the 2-year period. Their international option is a 40$ rip-off with no real benefits.

That's unbelievable, i need a simcard here in France for my 1-month travel plan and the local carrier "Orange" has a 40 euros option with no contract and unlimited data plan. They would also very easily unlock your phone just 3-month after the beginning of the 2-year contract.
