Help me please! Need to update software on Note 5!!
My friend just sold me his Galaxy Note 5 (N920A) and it's still running on 5.1.1. So I tried updating the software and it says it's up to date. Lol Nougat 7 is already out so what gives. I'm using Straight Talk service with this phone.

You cannot update an ATT phone on another network. You need an ATT SIM card and service for OTA updates

I have the same issue. I'm based in the UK but my handset is an unlocked ATT S7 Edge.
If I had a ATT sim could I update my software in the UK?

NO! You have to be in the USA to get updates from ATT... Its the price of buying us carrier branded phones.
