Google messages and S22 ultra

When will AT&T fix Google Messages, so it will work with RCS Chat? I have done everything suggested and it still will not send messages.

Hi there, scooter2869. Let's look into getting that RCS chat to work on Google Messages for your Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.


To use RCS please make sure Advanced Messaging is active on your phone. You can manage Advanced Messaging, including turning it off, in the messaging Settings menu.

  • In your phone’s messaging app, go to Settings and tap Advanced Messaging to turn Advanced Messaging on or off. For Messages by Google, please see their Messages support for more information.

Advanced Messaging is available on most Android smartphones and may not be compatible with certain rate plans. To enjoy the benefits of Advanced Messaging, you and the person you’re messaging will need Advanced Messaging (also referred to as RCS) -capable devices.


You can use Advanced Messaging if you:

  • Are an AT&T postpaid wireless customer
  • Have an Advanced Messaging (RCS) capable device
  • Are within AT&T-owned and operated network coverage. Note: RCS is available outside of network coverage with Wi-Fi data if Wi-Fi Calling is enabled.
  • Do not have a conflicting feature on your account, including the following:
    • SMS or MMS blocks you have added to your account.
    • Data blocks you have added to your account.

If you have one of these features, they must be removed from your account for Advanced Messaging to work. Also, the ability to share files up to 100MB, along with group messages with up to 100 participants, will vary depending on the smartphones being used.

Hello scooter ... Well I have the a AT&T branded S22 Ultra and I have had issues with Google messages . I have numerous post about this , you can look at my post for reference . What issues are you having exactly?
