Galaxy S8 Text Messaging Problems

My husband and I just bought new Galaxy S8 phones a couple days ago. I've noticed that sending a simple text takes about 20 minutes. Today I received a text 30 minutes after my husband says he sent it. After looking around the internet, I decided to try turning off Advanced Messaging. I sent a test text, and it went through right away. It took a while for me to be able to turn Advanced Messaging back on (it was grayed out for 20 minutes or so). Now texts seem to get sent right away again. I'm sure the problem will spring back up eventually. I don't want to keep Advanced Messaging turned off. Is there another way to fix this problem?

Galaxy S8 can recieve but not send text messages

AT&T keeps text support but never fix the issue,They tell me they will call me back and never does!
