Galaxy S7 Edge: send'g/rcv'g msgs

Phone will not send or down load msgs. Gives Error Msg: "Can not down load or send my message until network is available". However, I AM CONNECTED TO MY NETWORK! But the message service does not recognize the connection! Instead, the phone constantly repeats the ERROR MESSAGE. Meanwhile, the "Spinning Circle" (Goggle I'm trying to send a message to the AT&T help form) spinning continuously! Thus, keeping locked in this loop. TIA for any help offered to solve this problem.

Greetings @Elster!

Sending and receiving messages can be such an important and fun feature! I would definitely be concerned if I was unable to use this tool on my personal device. I will be glad to provide additional assistance to you on this.

Since the problem has begun, have you attempted to restart your phone? By powering your device off and back on, the phone can refresh its system settings. Are only certain messages showing you this error message? For example, the notice appears when you are sending/receiving MMS. You, or the receiving phone number may or may not have their Advanced Messaging enabled. You can check for this on your phone by following our Device Support Tool. Select your make and model phone > View all Solutions > Email & Messaging > Messaging Settings. Please check and test with and without Advanced Messaging enabled.

Additionally, if you are attempting to send and receive MMS, please ensure your mobile data is ON. Then also make sure your Wi-Fi is OFF. If you are still running into any additional problems, I invite you to run through our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool. Select your make and model phone, then click on Messaging to get started!

I hope this is found to be advantageous. Have an awesome weekend!
