Fort Lauderdale disconnected?

Phone started to send messages saying it was disconnected from service...the bill is paid above and beyond for the record..and it cannot call out at all anymore so cannot call AT&T.  Using my computer to attempt to chat to a human since their automated system is a joke, but it keeps delaying or bouncing me off.  Anyone have an answer at all?
