Facebook contacts not syncing anymore Galaxy S4

There used to be - in the old FB app - some options which FB contacts you would sync (none, all, only those on your phone already) but now it just says "Continuous sync".  I don't like this change and it doe snot seem to work. 
I've sent a message to FB help but without reply.  Does anybody know how to get this fixed?

Thank you for your post! We apologize for the frustration! If you open your Facebook app>Menu>App Settings>scroll all the way to the bottom where you should see an option for Sync Contacts>select an option. If that doesn't help, you may need to reach out to Facebook for further support.

Facebook no longer supports the feature of contacts syncing even though it shows under accounts!
