We'll be happy to assist you with deleting your duplicate text RJLee38.

First try restarting your device and then check if the message still appears twice. Then clear your messaging app's cache and data to reset it.

If that doesn't help, try resetting your network settings by going to Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings. After this, restart your device and let us know if the issue persists. Keep in mind that doing so will remove all data stored on your phone related to the internet and other networks

Let us know if you were able to get rid of the duplicate text messages.

Hi Marilyn, followed all your suggestions, duplicates are still there. Thinking possibly I should delete the messages app then load it on again and do a restore? Or do you think I should even care, does it really matter?

Thank you for the response RJLee38.

If the issue still persist we will need to invite you into a DM to further assist you with this.

Hi @ATTHelp,

I'm in the same boat at the moment. Would love some help getting this fixed if you're able.

Thank you!

Nothing suggested worked, I just gave up and am dealing with it. Took it to a repair shop which suggested wiping it out and starting fresh. Problem I use it for business and have a decade of information on it

Yea, I'm in a very similar situation. Not comfortable losing everything.

@RJLee38 When I faced the same issue I just restarted my phone and everything works fine.

I've done that several times, along with all the other recommended steps. I did seem to eliminate a small portion of duplicates, but the vast majority remain. 🤷🏾‍♂️
