Can't connect Samsung smart TV to WiFi

Wireless connection failed for Samsung TV.  Error screen shows MAC address 44:5c:e9:e6:92:5e.

I tried the steps to troubleshoot by manually entering Gateway using 4 different sets of numbers shown on help screen, but didn't work.

Another issue is that the modem was installed in the garage, so I can't hardwire.  My home has pre-wired connections, but the installer didn't use it.

Is that the MAC Address of your Samsung tv? It could be that the WiFi in the tv just isn't capable of connecting to the router due to building materials, distance, etc.

What kind of pre-wiring, coax or ethernet (CAT-6)?
