Best way of importing contacts to Samsung Galaxy J7

I just got the Samsung Galaxy J7 from AT&T. I have a ZTE 2222 cell phone with a SIM card that has all my contacts stored on it. Can I put that SIM card in my Galaxy J7 and save all the contacts in the internal memory? Before I got the ZTE I had a Nokia and that's how I got all my contacts into the ZTE.
It seems to me then the contacts would be able to be viewed inside of my J7 and then i could back them up to the cloud and then swap the SIM cards back and then restore the contacts from the cloud into my J7.
Also Nokia has backup software and I can take the SIM card out of the ZTE and put it back in the Nokia, and create a backup of my contacts using the Nokia software. This software also has an export feature where I can save the contacts as either a CSV, TXT or a business card format - VCF.
I'm also wondering if I can somehow store the exported VCF contact data to my Samsung cloud and retrieve it from there.
I tried Samsung's Smart Switch but it's limited to smart phones and Android OS. Both my ZTE and Nokia are very basic cell phones.
So can the J7 import my contacts considering what I have?

Hello @Gerry Peters,

Welcome to the Community Forums! Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your device concerns. Being able to move contacts from one device to another is definitely important. I will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

When it comes to SIM cards, due to the ever changing technology with wireless devices, SIM cards change in size as well. The ZTE uses a much larger SIM card than the Galaxy J7 which means they are not interchangeable.

However, all is not lost, to best assist with moving your contacts to your new device, I recommend taking both phones and SIM cards into your local AT&T Retail location, and request to have the contacts transferred. Our Store Locator will help you find a location nearest to you.

I hope this helps. If you have additional questions, please feel free to reach back out to us. Take care and have a great day!

I took the phones to an AT&T store and I must say I'm very impressed at how quickly they transferred my contacts in about 5-10min and for no extra charge was nice. They have some amazing software and on the phone we totally confident they could do it, even though I had a cheap basic phone.
