I'm going to put this out there and I hope that a CEO sees this comment from either AT&T or Samsung. I just purchased a new S23 Ultra at a cost of 1380 United States dollars. Even though I got a great trade in on my old phone I’m still going to have a difference of 580 dollars out of pocket. Now looking at it from either perspective I still deserve a dam phone charger I can’t believe that you’re selling a product without a way of charging it. If you don’t want to handle it anymore then at least give your customers a coupon to go get one from another vendor since you don’t care about your customer’s anymore. It’s like selling a car without any oil in it. Not gonna get to far down the road are yea. I would fire the person that came up with this idea. Sorry that's just the way i see it.

It's a lot less about it environmental footprint than it is about lowering the shipping costs. My mother's previous iPhone box, and my previous Samsung box side by side with the new phone boxes is exactly 1/2 the size. It probably doesn't lower the weight all that much, but you can fit twice as many phone boxes into the same amount of space in a shipping container that's going to be coming from the other side of the planet.
So it's more about saving money.
Like you I have a whole bunch of charging blocks and cables, I really don't need any new ones.

Chargers are ewaste and apple got rid of them everyone followed. I have over 200 charging blocks at home. I was glad to see the pixels dump them also.

Here is the bigger kick in the (Edited per community guidelines). Chevrolet in their ultimate wisdom decided to not put 12v charger plug in the new 2022 silverado witch i own. and none of the usb or type c plugs in the truck support 45w also the wireless charging is worthless so the only way i can go is 110v and where they put the plug not enough room for the normal plug in. the picture shows plug but the center console is open lid still needs to shut. Almost forgot, So now i need more ewaste.

The phone only needs 45w to charge the fastest. There are only a handful of cars that can charge at 45 watts
