AT&T unlock code incorrect
I'm not AT&T customer (I use AT&T MVNO), and I got an AT&T Samsung A52 5G on eBay. I tried to unlock it through AT&T online portal, but it was telling me that they can't unlock it because it is active on somebody else account. I have no idea who is the previous account holder, the eBay reseller doesn't know either, so I have no way of reaching him or her.
I called AT&T customer service and they gave me an unlock code. I tried to enter it on the phone twice and both times got a message "incorrect network unlock code entered".
I called AT&T 3 more times to verify if I got the code wrong and talked to 3 different people, but they all were giving me runarounds about how they can't unlock phones on a call, that I'm not AT&T customer, etc.
I paid 30 bucks to an online unlocking company, and they gave me the same code as AT&T that still doesn't work.
What do I do, and how do I get a correct code??? Thanks!

There are specific requirements that need to be completed before a device can be unlocked from our network, mrvmrvmrv.
Currently, the only way to unlock your device is to have the original device owner to release it from their account. These details are shared at our Device Unlock Eligibility Requirements.
When it comes to purchasing a phone from a non-AT&T authorized seller like eBay, there are a few helpful tips to consider before making the purchase. We invite you to view these details under eBay & Non-AT&T Purchases when you visit our AT&T Device Unlock Help - Solutions & FAQs.
We hope this information helps. Thank you for reaching out to us.

So you're basically saying that unlock code doesn't work because the phone is active on somebody elses's account? But it doesn't make sense because what if the person who owns the account requested it, he or she would have been given the same code.
Or are you saying that AT&T somehow can see that another person has the code and unlocking, and thus somehow prevents the phone from being unlocked, even with the right code?

Thank you, I will try that.

I did online chat and called Samsung, they basically told me they don't know anything, they don't have any unlock codes, and it's a carrier problem.
So, what do I do now???
