Advanced Messaging stopped working after two weeks of purchase!

Two brand new S20 Ultra has Advanced Messaging turned on but it stopped functioning on August 4th.

I just chatted with AT&T for this issue with our brand new S20 Ultra phones.  We purchased the phones on 7/29 from an AT&T store.  The Advanced Messaging worked for literally two weeks and then, although turned on, stopped working.  The chat is no longer showing delivered, or read, you can't see when the other is typing.

AT&T online support person (on 8/10) claimed they ordered a push from the manufacturer (Samsung) to fix our phones.  We were to receive the fix within 6 hours and that will correct the issue.  No push was ever received (unless there is no sign of the push).  The phones still aren't functioning properly.  They are $1400 each!!!!!

Ready to return these phones.

We can help you with AT&T Advanced Messaging features, @Harrmandi.

We understand how important all messaging features are these days and would like to turn this around for you.

Can you verify you've received the most recent Software update for your Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G (G988U) by:

  1. Swiping down from the Notification bar and select Settings.
  2. Scroll to and select About phone, then Software information.
  3. If the Build number and Baseband versions don’t match the current update; perform additional updates until they do.

Look for:

  • Android version: 10
  • Baseband version: G988USQS1ATG4
  • Build number: QP1A.190711.020.G988USQS1ATG4

For the AT&T Advanced Messaging features to work - both senders, & receivers must have the the feature enabled, and the most recent version.

Please check your settings for to ensure your software, and version is up to date then post back to let us know what you discover. Thank you!

Yes, I have all of the correct versions.  Also, both phones have the same and most up to date versions and both phones have the feature enabled.

The advanced messaging functionality is still not working.
