Prepaid Plan minutes over limit
I have a Prepaid $30/month plan with 50mb data and 250 minutes talk time. What happens when Talk time limit is reached? Charge per minute? Phone won't make calls? Purchase more minutes?

Actually on auto pay you can pay the same price with 1 gig of data.

You must have a very old plan because no plan like that exists now. You probably need to call to find out. The current $30 plan has unlimited talk and text but no data.

ATT changes plan offers regularly. They cant possibly notify all customers, some may not want a different plan. ATT.com has all current offers.
