Phone activation blocked by retailer
Prepaid activation blocked by retailer. Phone was purchase from target.com
I bought a moto g power 2022 online from target put in my prepaid existing sim as per instructions of phone for pre-existing customers and it does not have service and when a call is attempted I get a recording that says to contact the retailer to finalize activation and target was no help they keep telling me i have to go into a store to finalize the activation and i know this isnt the case as i just read a post of someone else who had the exact same problem and AT&T solved it.. i have order receipt/invoice and screen shot of at&t prepaid phone purchase.
I've had this happen with online walmart purchased phones too and was able to provide proof of purchase to att and they activated it.
Please any help is appreciated.

You already know what to do and you already know that this is a self-help forum and all we're going to do is tell you that you have to call AT&T or go back to the retailer

I don't know this is a self help only forum. The whole reason I posted here was that I read a similar post from a few months ago and an att rep responded and helped them.

Hello @Calidad, we are here to help you with activating your prepaid phone.
In order to get your phone activated, we recommend taking the phone to the nearest AT&T Store, so they can complete activation.
If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums!

Well I didn't go to a store or even leave my home or be put on hold. But I did end up reaching out to AT&T social media team.
They helped me by providing them the proof of purchase and a few details.
