Moving to the US from Canada
Hi there. As it says above, I am moving to the US from Canada. I've been having issues trying to get a US network as my phone is considered 3g even though it was released last year and my phone plan uses 4g LTE. I am currently being charged $9 dollars a day on roaming charges and I need to quickly end that. My phone can easily be unlocked. Any advice?

Your phone uses 4g for data and 3g for calls therefore it’s not compatible with AT&T.

Advice about what? If your phone is not on ATT’s list of supported phones, you won’t be able to use it on ATT. If you are considering getting an ATT plan, you’ll need a different phone.

Thank you for the responses. Is there any way to keep the phone? I just bought it in March and really don't want to have to go get a new phone just yet. The phone is an LG Velvet as well if that helps in any way.

Again, only if on the list of supported phones. Here’s the list: https://www.att.com/idpassets/images/support/wireless/Devices-Working-on-ATT-Network.pdf
I see an LG Velvet on the list but you need to verify you have the right model.
