Cancel Prepaid Plan outside US

Dear Support Team,


i've been in the US in middle of June this year. I was staying in California for 2 weeks then I decided to take a prepaid plan. I don't remember if the person of the AT&T shop told me about the autopay, I discover today that my visa card has been charged again for the month of July. I0ve already quit the US and I can't login to the AT&T portal to cancel the autopay. I kindly ask your help in finding how I can cancel my US mobile phone number and maybe get the money of July back.

Hello @GiacomoRope.

You can sign in to your PREPAID account using your phone number and an initial password of the last four digits of the phone number. From there you can cancel AutoPay. If you have questions or want to discuss the options for a credit, you will need to call our department which specializes in PREPAID at 1-408-962-1025.

I wish to cancel my prepaid phone plan with you but I cannot as I do not have my 4 digit passcode. I am no longer in the USA so my US mobile number is no longer working to receive messages. Can you assist me with this?

If you do not have autopay set up, the account will cancel when the funds / plan expires and you will not have to do anything.  If you do have autopay set up, you need to contact customer service to do this.  Here are some options if you are on autopay.


Your options to stop autopay are to call or get your bank/credit card to block the charge. If using a credit card, cancelling the card and getting a new one issued will work. If you choose to call, the following info is from customer support:

Customers in these situations need to call one of two numbers:

     Outside of the U.S. - 1-314-925-6925 - The agent can call them back at their number so they don't rack up big toll charges.

     Inside the U.S. -  1-800-901-9878

English and Spanish spoken.  It's possible - depending on the agent they reach - they may be transferred within the company.

I have the same problem. I am currently outside the US and need to cancel my prepaid phone plan. I have tried to sign in to my AT&T account with the last 4 digits of my phone number but without success. Please I need help I have been charged for 3 months for a service I haven't used. Is there a way to cancel it via email? BTW the out of country support line that ATT has available is of no use!
