AT&T Prepaid $45 Change to 12 month plan
I have been a customer for several years with AT&T prepaid, the whole time being on the $45 monthly plan. I went on the website and saw the discounted 12 month prepaid plan at $300. It will not allow me to use my current phone number on it, despite the fact I am already an AT&T customer. I do not want a new phone number. What remedy can be done?

The 12 month plan is for new activations only. The only way for you to get that plan and keep your number is to port your number to a different carrier then port it back.

Thank you for clarifying that. How do I do that?
An idea being, switch to something like "Mint mobile" for the $15 plan, then sign up for the AT&T 12 month?
Does that seem feasible?
