AT&T DATA CONNECT PASS W2GO2 - BEING CHARGED FOR OVER 4 YEARS ON A STOLEN iPAD

Dear all,

Absolutely need help here.

I have tried multiple times to get this plan cancelled but cannot be found in the AT&T database. I left my iPad on a plane 4 years ago, it was taken and not returned. I have been trying to cancel this data plan since that time. I have been charged 35.00 a month for the last 4 years and cannot get rid of this direct debit because AT&T claim I am not in their database.

Please can someone help me get reparation for these charges and rectify this altogether?

Best,

Nicole

You won’t get any refund, but why didn’t you stop the payments with your bank/credit card?  Without your At&t information that’s your only option

Hi @Nixxx73,

Thank you for getting back to us!

We're glad that you were able to block the transactions. Per our terms and conditions, prepaid services are not refundable. We recommend disputing the charges with your financial institution.

Hope this helps!

Just been dealing with a charge for AT&T W2go2  with their Fraud prevention department. They said since it doesn't directly affect my "account," there is nothing they can do.

I will not have any issue disputing this with my bank and removing this charge moving forward, but I was shocked with AT&T's disinterest in not wanting to do or seeing the need to do anything about this. Someone/something is using THEIR name (including their customer service information) for criminal activity...and they don't care and say there is nothing they can do about people falsely using their name.

Is this the kind of business we want to deal with? I have been a loyal customer for decades and the fact they choose not to protect me and hundreds of thousands of others like me who are continuing to be charged for AT&T W2go2, whcih no one has authorized, by at least looking into it and reporting it to whatever authority that needs to know is upsetting and disappointing.

I will definitely will be looking to taking my business elsewhere.
