Transfer sim card from one mr1100 to another mr1100

Hello,

I have replaced my generic unlocked netgear nighthawk mr1100 mobile hotspot with the AT&T netgear nighthawk mr1100.

Can I pop the sim from the old one to the new one and setup normally?

Thanks.

should work no problem at all with minimal setup, i would backup any pictures videos and contacts first to google drive or something similar before swapping the sim into the new phone

Did not work.

I originally transferred the sim from the unlocked device to this new AT&T one.

Still had no internet (connect to the AT&T LTE network it just stops there, no sites load.

Decided to use the sim that came with the new device. Ran through setup and linked it to my prepaid account.

Still nothing.

I have factory reset, both the soft version and the mechanical reset with the button inside.

Power drained, changed passwords, wiped network caching on the devices.

Nothing works.

I did call customer support yesterday and they said wait 24 hours because the new sim may not be registered in the system.

The correct IMEI and SIM numbers are in the account, though it hasn't quite been 24 hours.

Both the netgear app and http:attwifimanager show 'Data Unavailable' at the dashboard.

APN name - ATT Mobile

APN - broadband

Apologies if this seems a bit caustic, but so far I am in for $400+ for 2 devices and $150 for two months of data I can't use.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Most most appreciated. 😄
